The Chicago’s Blackhawks and Boston’s Bruins haven’t battle

The Chicago’s Blackhawks and Boston’s Bruins haven’t battle for the cup since the year of 2011 which was the year of the NHL lockout. The Blackhawks have been fighting all season for the cup. But when I watched game 1 last night it was a battle for the win because both teams were doing everything in their power to win, but it could only be one winner so for game 1 the Blackhawks came on top.

According to stats the Bruins have been dominating the playoff but I think the Blackhawks will be the team to win the Stanley Cup because they are a very hard working team who seems to never give up when they are down. But talk around the NHL is that the Hawks need to grab momentum in order to win the cup.

The Matches will take place in Chicago for the first two games then in Boston for the next two games and if have to Chicago for game 5 and 7 and Boston for 6 and these games will be on the last 3 weeks of June. But the Teams are positive when it comes to winning during the regular season with Chicago record at 36-7-5 and Boston at 26-14-6. When I look at those record or standings the Blackhawks look to be the better team. The Hawks are being led by their key player Patrick Sharp who stats this season were 20 points scored and 14 assist. Bruins are being led by Daniel Paille has 17 points and 7 assist, and Tuukka Rask have 70 goal against.

The Hawks blog have reported that the way the Hawks played in Game 2 they have issues that need to be fixed before it too late for them. Fox News reported this from the Bruins.

“BOSTON – Just imagine what Tuukka Rask and Tim Thomas chat about when the present and past Boston Bruins goalies, and friends, have time to talk.

Perhaps they discuss what it’s like to stop shot after shot at the most important time of the season.

But Rask isn’t saying.”

“It’s between him and me,” he said Sunday.

I guess that mean the team are trying to keep everything private from the media and leave all things between the team.

This championship is so important for both teams because many don’t really believe in them to have success expect for their cities and also this is their first time playing for the cup since 2011 lockout year so it’s pretty much a way for either team to have bragging rights on each other.

Voting For a Reason Jamal CarrHave you ever

Voting For a Reason

Jamal Carr

Have you ever been mad that someone or something was chosen, and you totally disagree with the choice? What about voting that you may think is rigged and don’t want to participate in. Or a number of votes that gave your city the perfect mayor. Well that’s why you and everyone else in the world should vote. It is O.K. for everyone to have a chance at voting, because you want to give your own opinion about the subject. Voting is also important because you are letting others know how you feel about the topic and why you think it is the right pick.

For an example, millions of people in the U.S every 4 years vote for a new president that will be leading them for the next 4 years. So with that being said you want to vote for someone who you think is a perfect role model that you can put your trust into who will keep your country in order and not in a chaotic way.

For people who don’t believe in voting, I think you should vote because at times you criticize people who may have picked a wrong decision, and since you’re tired of it how about you put your two cents in and vote for what you believe in. Don’t always instantly judge a person on what they feel to believe because everyone in the world has a mind to be able say what they want to say.

Voting in general isn’t hard and you could never be wrong about your choice because it’s your opinion on what you think is right. Voting is done all over the world in different countries in numerous ways. But voting is an easy way to settle judgment on a topic.

“Molly, Rape Drug, You Ain’t Even Know It”.

“Molly, Rape Drug, You Ain’t Even Know It”.

The rapper “Rick Ross” has been an amazing artist until he came out with the remix to “U.O.E.N.O” in 2013. Rick Ross put people in shock with the lyrics “Put Molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it. I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it.” Some people would never believe how people would do and say anything just for money and fame. Rick Ross made people believe that the drug “Molly” is used to enjoy people or things of life and to be known as “the rape drug. Ross quotes that he never meant for the song to have a negative effect on the society. People can be wrong or do things wrong even if you’re famous because all people are the same.

Molly is a drug slang term used to describe the purest form of MDMA (3.4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine, commonly known as ecstasy). Many rappers used the term molly in their song because people use molly’s for partying, just trying it for the first time, or following their friends. For Ross’s actions, women signed a petition to ask that Ross be dropped by Reebok. Women were offended by Ross’s lyrics because he made it seem like you could do anything to a female if their under the use of drugs. Reebok’s says that they puts a lot of time in what they do for women and Ross says that  “I just want to reach out to all my queens that’s on my timeline, all the sexy ladies, the beautiful ladies that have been reaching out to me with the misunderstanding: We don’t condone rape, and I’m not with that.”

Many people know Ross for being a good all-around musical artist, but Ross has a background like, In January 2008, Ross was arrested on gun and marijuana charges. So if someone so famous can do things like this, maybe Rick Ross should be known as the rapist he is. Ross says “that using a substance to rob a woman of her right to make a choice is not only a crime, it’s wrong and I do not encourage it. To my fans, I also apologize if I have disappointed you. I can only hope that this sparks a healthy dialogue and that I can contribute to it.” After Ross apologizes to everyone he may have hurt or put down, many people started to have faith into Ross’s music.

Bulls Bring the Horns to the Nets Jamal

Bulls Bring the Horns to the Nets

Jamal Carr

April 27, 2013: mark this day as one of the NBA’s best playoff games in history. The Chicago Bulls played against the Brooklyn Nets in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference. Without superstar MVP Derrick Rose, the Bulls are trying to prove a point of making it far in the playoffs without him and proving that they are a dominant team in the east. Also, the newly named team, The Brooklyn Nets, is making a return to the playoffs with guards Deron Williams and Joe Johnson. Both of these teams are looking to make their cities proud of them. The Chicago Bulls after being down by 14 points in the 4th quarter, made a comeback with the smallest person on the team, Nate Robison. This was his best career playoff game scoring 29 points, and it was a surprise to everyone. Robinson got hot, the Bulls’ defense tightened, the Nets were playing bad defense, and  Noah tipped Luol Deng’s miss with 23.9 seconds left in regulation to tie it before Butler’s critical block. In the first overtime, Robinson banked home a ridiculously difficult 23-foot runner over Deron Williams with one foot on the 3-point line with 2 seconds remaining.

Then, Joe Johnson proved himself again he was there to be Mr. Clutch to hit a buzzer beating floating similar to Nate Robison’s in return too. In the second overtime Joe Johnson’s three-point play and Lopez hitting two free throws with 48.7 seconds left got rid of the Bulls’ four-point lead. Robinson fouled out, and then Luol Deng and Joe Johnson traded misses. Then Lopez blocked Noah on a broken play with 1.9 seconds left to send the game to a final overtime.

Finally, the Bulls broke free in the third overtime period with the game almost lasting 4 hours long. Noah sank a jumper before fouling out and Butler overpowered Williams for an offensive rebound and layup Gibson swished a baseline jumper for a five-point lead.  Nazr Mohammed delivered his late-game contributions as being a veteran to the team giving the Bulls good baskets. The Chicago Bulls prevailed with the series being 3-2 now, awaiting game 7 to finish off the series. Now the Bulls have achieved an even greater feat than beating the Nets. Recently, in Game 1 of the Eastern Semi- Conference Finals the Chicago Bulls defeated the Miami Heat. Bulls look to continue ending any streak against the Heat and messing up their plans.

Chicago Summer Ratchetness

If you live in Chicago, the summer is the best time to see the most ratchet people and clothing styles. The summer of 2010 was all about Aeropostale, from the shirts to the shorts to the jogging pants. If you had anything Aeropostale, you were a part of this 2010 tread. The summer of 2011 brought big flowers and bright colors. Anything that was like a highlighter color was a part of that tread for the summer.

The summer of 2012 was all about jean jackets. Boys would wear their jean jackets with no shirt, some cargos with low tops with some all-white air force ones. The girls would wear their jean jackets with super small tank tops or just a bra that is very ratchet. 90% females were wearing red Chuck Taylors with a shirt that was too small and showed their stomachs or shirt that were too big they almost fell off. The most ratchet hairs style of 2012 was the extra super nasty looking long pony tails that came down a person back and down to the butt or lower.

The most ratchet place you could go in the summer time is 63 Street Beach everybody goes to that beach and you can see some of the most ratchet things there like ladies wearing pink, blue, and orange poetic justice. Women with swim suit too tight or too big not were wearing a swim suit at all. Some people wear a big white t- shirt with no bra or anything else underneath. The men would wear their underwear and play in the water. The other thing you will see at 63 Beach is people fighting, shooting and women weave on the ground. I just hope 2013 summer is better than the following summers and more people learn more fashion tips and don’t go outside looking ratchet.
